1. Budgeting – Dave Ramsey’s “Complete Guide to Money” is the best book ever for getting on top of your financial situation and actually reducing debt. No tricks or fancy financial slights of hand, just clear budgeting and paying down debts. My husband and I didn’t follow the system completely, we customized it for our needs but it put us on the road to financial security. Read my review here.
2. Knowing Your Strengths – Marcus Buckingham’s “Now, Discover Your Strengths” was completely eye opening. The philosophy behind the book is that you are much better off developing your strengths instead of remediating your weaknesses. But do you really know what your strengths are?
